a wide variety of custom-designed and handmade wedding invites - I’ve enjoyed working with couples to create a variety of beautiful custom wedding designs. Weddings are one of the few times that most people have the opportunity to commission hand-crafted, individually tailored designs to express their personal style. Some folks come to me with a fairly specific idea of what they want, or a handful of visual references, while others have just said “we love your style, make something special for us!” Either way, it’s always a pleasure to create something personal for such an exciting event.
Katie and Matthew’s wedding stationery: hand-silkscreened, coordinated designs for invitation, reply card, and reception card. Katie loved one of my greeting card designs and asked me to modify it for her wedding designs.
Amy and George's wedding invitation: I created a custom wedding invitation design using motifs interpreted from the couple’s beloved antique Russian tea set.
Julie & Rebecca’s invitations: these two wonderful ladies commissioned me to create handmade linocut designs featuring two chicks and a tree in autumn colors for their November ceremony. Hand-printed on a Chandler & Price letterpress, on Crane’s rich cream-colored 110lb. Lettra Paper.
Julie and Rebecca’s Ketubah: Julie and Rebecca also commissioned me to make a hand-painted Ketubah (that's the traditional Jewish wedding document) for their ceremony. I designed a leafy border, to create a visual connection with the invitation design, and used watercolor inks to paint the viney border, and felt-tip pens to make the hand-drawn italic text.

Shelley and John’s wedding invitation: Shelley and John were looking for a classic, nautical style for their invitations to a summer wedding set on the Maine coast. They brought me this fantastic idea: a three-fold, double-sided piece that combines invitation and RSVP card, looks beautiful and conserves paper. The RSVP postcard is perforated so it can be torn away to mail back. I designed a custom map, inspired by the old nautical charts they used to line their envelopes. The invitation was letterpress-printed on Crane’s pearl white 110 lb. Lettra paper.
